The Bates Men's Zero Mass Mid Cross-Training Shoe has garnered a mixed reception among customers, showcasing a range of experiences and opinions. Generally, many users appreciate the shoe for its comfort and lightweight design, which makes it suitable for day-to-day activities, including sports such as tennis. Some customers have noted their durability, although a few have pointed out issues with the shoelaces, Considering them less durable. One enthusiastic reviewer highlighted the perfect fit and versatility of these shoes, emphasizing that they are stylish enough for casual wear while maintaining the functionality of a tactical shoe. They found the shoes to be not only comfortable but also well-suited for various terrains. However, some users have encountered significant drawbacks. One complaint focused on the noise the shoes emit while walking, which detracts from their tactical appeal. Moreover, certain customers experienced discomfort due to hard and stiff soles, declaring them "cowboy-boot-hard." They reported that the shoes lacked arch support and cushioning, necessitating the use of additional insoles for adequate comfort. The breathability of the shoe is also in question, with one user finding the fabric unbreathable, likening it to wearing rubber boots. In summary, while the Bates Men's Zero Mass Mid Cross-Training Shoe is well-received for its lightweight feel, comfort in some cases, and stylish design, it is also criticized for lack of support, comfort issues, and distracting noises during use.
