Kids & Family Editorial Review
The Color of Magic is a movie adaptation of Pratchett's book "The Color of Magic". It has some minor deviations from the book but follows it fairly well. Tim Curry played the role of Trymon, Christopher Lee played the role of Death, while David Jason played Rincewind. The intertwining storylines of the movie provide some "aha!" moments nicely. The Luggage is well done in the movie adaptation. The Color of Magic is a good movie based on an amazing book by the best author. The story of the movie is interesting, but it is lacking any foundation to make it complete. While it is occasionally funny, it is mostly tedious. The acting was good, and the actors are first-class. The movie has a fantastic premise and the characters are likable. The size of the world is not portrayed very well, and at times, it seems characters went to and fro a bit more quickly than they should have.
