- This model builds on the tradition of our classic Xezo Maestro® series, introduced circa 2003. The Xezo Maestro® Sea Shell platinum-plated fountain pen series is produced in limited editions. Each luxury pen is individually serialized and unique. The pen features solid brass fittings plated in .999 platinum. The extra-fine nib (0.29mm writing stroke) is gold-plated stainless steel with a finely etched leaf pattern in silver. The overall design concept of these pens draws from the Art Nouveau style, highlighting the natural beauty found in the colors and shapes of real sea shells.These pens are handcrafted and feature a uniquely developed, intensive technique of applying the sea shell mosaic on the solid brass round body of the pen. Once the shell is perfected , it is cured in layers of clear resin and then hand-polished to a shine, ensuring the precious iridescence of the natural sea shell is preserved and durable. The weight of each pen may vary due to inherent differences in the oceanic nacre we use. Sea shells are natural materials; therefore, some distinctions in the texture of these materials may occur. These distinctions and variations are not defects, but rather natural attributes which add beauty and uniqueness to each of these pens. These sea shell panels can range from green to black, along with red or blue overtones.No two pens are exactly alike. This is truly a treasured gift to remember for someone special (or yourself)!
